Here at Parkway, our goal is to offer as many ways as possible to grow in your faith and nurture your relationship with God. Through our many available ministries, our prayer is that you can find ways to apply Jesus's teaching to your everyday life, fellowship with other believers, and gain more perspective through your prayer life.
"I will instruct you in the way of wisdom and lead you along straight paths." Proverbs 4:11
The connection between believers through involvement in a Sunday School class is critical to one's spiritual growth. Here at Parkway, we strive to provide meaningful, practical, and age-appropriate classes. With this in mind, we offer a place for all ages, from nursery to senior adults.
Our ultimate desire is to reach more people with the Gospel, clearly and accurately teach God's word, develop accountability among fellow believers, and lovingly minister to people's needs through hands-on help and prayer.
We encourage you to attend every Sunday morning to spend time with people, like you, who seek to live out the purposes of God in their lives.
Sunday School services begin at 9:30 am. for several choices of classes, and nursery is provided for the little ones.

"For you are my hope, O Lord God, you are my trust from my youth." Psalm 71:5
The term "young adult" is a relative term, and will be labeled differently by different people, depending on where they are in their life. Being termed as a young adult can mean many things; one who is out of high school, a college student, a newly married couple, a brand new parent, one with children at home, or even just the young at heart!
But as a young adult, one's life is full of challenges and important decisions. In our effort provide ministry, we strive to help these young adults better understand their place in God's plan and improve their applicable understanding of the Gospel. So wherever you are on your journey as a young adult, we will strive to meet your Christian needs in this class.
Young Adult Bible Study meets at 6:30 on Wednesdays in the Oasis.
"Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it." Proverbs 22:6
Because kids matter to God...Can you think of a better reason to involve your children in the AWANA program?
AWANA, which stands for "Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed," is our mid-week discipleship meeting where children have the opportunity to memorize, study, and learn life lessons from important passages of the Bible. This is designed to help your child(ren) grow spiritually, while having a blast playing games and participating in exciting activities.
We offer three divisions:
- Cubbies, ages 4-5 years old
- Sparks, Kindergarten - 2nd grade
- Truth and Training, 3rd grade - 6th grade
AWANA helps parents to raise their children to know, love, and serve Jesus.
Meetings are on Wednesdays at 6:30 pm.
"Follow Me and I will make you fishers of men." Matthew 4:19
By definition, a "disciple" is one who is primarily a dedicated follower of Christ. In Biblical times, being a disciple is a technical term for a follower of a physical Jesus. The primary characteristic of being a disciple of Jesus is to have love for one another. According to the Bible, we as believers are all called to make disciples for Christ.
Looking into the book of Matthew, we read in verse 28:18-19, "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations...And surely I am with you always..."
It is what Jesus calls us to do; He wants us to share His word in order to bring more people to His Father.
"the Gospel he promised beforehand through his prophets in the Holy Scriptures" Romans 1:2
THE-OL-O-GY...Simple word, right? Only four syllables, but why is it so intimidating? Perhaps by defining the word, one can better understand the meaning.
- THEOLOGY (noun) - the study of the nature of God and religious belief; religious beliefs and theory when systematically developed.
Anyone else a little apprehensive about this word? Well, one shouldn't be, because in the Theology Matters class at Parkway, Associate Pastor Raj breaks down and thoroughly explains how Theology is simply the study of religion and how it affects our spiritual lives as Christians.
Most Christians agree that theology is important, but cannot articulate why. It's not just what you believe that matters, but why you believe it and how.
Join Raj and others for this class on 5:30 pm on every 4th Thursday.

"He answered their prayers, because they trusted in him."
1 Chronicles 5:20
As a Christian, one should know that prayer is important. Prayer is our direct line to speak with God. As a true believer, you know that it is acceptable to God to pray at any time...in the carpool line, while your sitting at your desk, on your morning walk, etc. We are all busy, and have many obligations from kids, to work, to school, to family, and more pulling at us from all directions. It is hard to establish a prayer routine for some when there are so many distractions.
Thankfully, here at Parkway, we conduct a Mid-Week Prayer Meeting on Wednesday evenings at 6:00, to help you to focus and to concentrate on your prayer life. Your prayer life and abilities will grow through regular practice.
Please join us this Wednesday to help us pray our best prayers to our Lord.
"He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more." Rev. 21:4
GriefShare is a grief recovery support group where you can find help and healing for the hurt of losing a loved one.
The time after losing a loved one can be dark and confusing. This can also be a time when you feel isolated and full of questions. In attending a GriefShare group, our prayer for you is that you can begin to gain closure in your loss, feel like you a part of a "family," and discover hope for the future.
The leaders of GriefShare have also experienced such loss, and thus have a real concern and understanding in the grief of losing a loved one. They also are examples of the healing restoration one can find as an outgrowth of deep grief.

"O come, let us sing unto the Lord: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation." Psalms 95:1
Like many of us sitting in the regular congregation during a Sunday Morning Worship, you may have a hard time not tapping along with the beat of an amazing praise and worship song. But that's ok, and even encouraged. Our choir and praise team at Parkway are both great ways to worship the Lord through the talents He so lovingly bestowed upon us.
Led by our talented music director Junior Williams and our wonderfully accomplished piano player Tamy Jackson, our singers and musicians raise their voices for the Lord in beautiful harmony and give exciting renditions of both traditional hymns and new praise music.
If you are interested in joining either the choir or the praise team, or for more information, please feel free to contact out church office at (601) 442-7434
"A wise man is full of strength and a man of knowledge enhances his might." Proverbs 24:5
Not only will spending time in a Men's Bible study build Godly relationships with fellow brothers in the church, it will also deepen your relationship with God and those closest to you. It could strengthen your marriage, bring you closer to your children, make you a better employee at work, bond you with other Christians, but most of all, it could be the nudge you need to continue or even begin your daily walk with the Savior. Every maturing Christian man desires to do God's will in his life work.
In the Men's Bible Study/Manic Monday at Parkway, you can have all the opportunities to grow through relationships with fellow believers, study His word and become versed in the Gospel, and secure a salvation that Jesus paid for with His blood on the cross.
Men's Bible Study meets every Monday at 5:30, with that class being designated as Manic Monday every second Monday of the month.
Please feel free to contact the church office with any scheduling questions at (601) 442-7434
"The steps of a man are established by the Lord, when He delights in his way;" Psalm 37:23
Fellowship is an important part of one's faith as a Christian, and it allows us to learn from other believers on their walk with God. Not only does connecting with other believers build solid foundations for your faith to grow, but it also creates respect for others. By fellowshipping in this way, you are bringing joy to Christ. Jesus commanded us to "love one another as I have so loved you." John 13:34
The Monday Morning Men's Prayer Meeting is the opportunity to do just that. By providing a safe, comfortable, laid-back environment, the men in this group are doing Christ's work by opening up their bibles and their hearts to help each other better understand how to study and listen for God's voice.
This Men's Prayer meeting takes place on Monday mornings at 7:15am
Please contact the church office for inquiries to attend.
"She is clothed in strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future." Proverbs 31:25
Just think for a few moments about the responsibilities of a woman...she has a multitude of them, whether she has a full time job or not. They can include work responsibilities, children's everyday needs, the requirements of being married, grocery runs, the daily chores of her home, carpools, extra curriculars for kids, supper cooking...need one go on?
But of all these earthly responsibilities, she can get so busy that she misses the most important role she as a woman can take...and that's the role of a Godly woman. As you live your life as a truly Godly woman, the rest will fall into place. Come join our Women's Bible Study where we discuss everything about being a woman and how that relates to God's plan for us in these modern times.
Please contact our church office to confirm times and meeting place for our Women's Bible Studies as they vary.
