missions ministry
The Global Impact Ministry of Parkway Baptist seeks to engage our members in making an eternal impact on the world. Following the example of Jesus Christ, through the power of the Holy Spirit, we seek to impact our city, our state, our nation, and our world. As believers we are called to go beyond the walls of our comfort and convenience to reach the hurting and hopeless with the good news of Jesus Christ.

Global impact has two dimensions, words and work. God has called us to be ambassadors of His love and grace available through Christ. He has also called us authenticate our words through practical deeds of kindness and love at home and around the world.

Through the Global Impact Ministry our members are given opportunities to engage in this task through praying, giving, and going.  We have been involved in various mission trips to places like: Baltimore, MD, Belize, Ecuador, England, New York City, NY, South Asia, Uruguay and Haiti.

Women on Missions (W.O.M.): is a women’s organization within the church for females ages 18 and up through which they are able to:

  • Learn about missions
  • Pray for and give to missions
  • Do missions
  • Develop spiritually toward a mission lifestyle
  • Participate in the work of the church and denomination

The W.O.M. at Parkway Baptist Church has two groups that meet every 3rd Tuesday of the month.  The “Cleo” group meets at 10:00 am and the “Shea” group meets at 6:00 pm.  They both meet in Adult 6, which is adjacent to the courtyard across from the Worship Center.  The purpose of the W.O.M. ministry is that every person has the opportunity to hear and respond to the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

The truth is that every member of Parkway Baptist Church is to be on a mission for missions wherever and whenever we go, as both a “disciple of” and “reconciler to” Christ.
Operation Christmas Child Shoebox Ministry

Then Jesus came near and said to them, ‘All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.’”
